Jesse Stilwell is one of my friends, Claire Becq’s, boyfriend. He was training to be an artist since he was little. He got a degree in 2012 from ACAD. He wasn’t really an artist back then, he was only 30. Jesse is now currently 35.
According to him, this was his first art show ever and his career starts now!
His favourite picture of his own is one of the pieces of art in his apartment. It’s small and has a necar cube. It looks upside down and right side up at the same time: he’ll never sell it.
He loves art so much that he couldn’t do anything else and not feel guilty about it. And someone told him he’s good at it.
His favourite art he has ever seen is by Joseph Albers: Homage to the Square. He painted squares for 40 years!
I loved the stripes and colours that Jesse uses in his work – it made me feel like I was in a different land when I looked at his paintings. I recommend that you try and see one of his art shows. The art is really nice. In the meantime, you can see some of his work here!
Bye followers, I hope to see you next time.
